Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Journal of Pharma and Biomedics Authors Guidelines

The aim of “Journal of Pharma and Biomedics” is to publish recent and advanced research in Pharmaceutical sciences, biopharmaceutics,  pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pro-drug developments, drug invention and development, drug delivery, natural sources of medicine, Clinical medicine, infectious diseases, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology,  microbiology, virology and immunology, biochemistry, biotechnology, Cell Biology, anatomic pathology, biochemistry, Pharmacy practice, dental drug delivery science, Neuroscience and associated latest technology, molecular, cellular and cancer biology, physiology medical and biomedical sciences.

Authors can upload a single file (.doc, .docx) for initial submission using online portal or directly email to jpbs@jpbsci.com. Designate the word file as main document in the upload step.

Initial submission of manuscript requires pages at the center bottom of the page, 3cm margins all the sides, 1.15 line spaced for all text, including tables and captions.

Cover Letter

A cover letter should be submitted with submission briefly describing the research significance, author’s agreement for adopting publication ethics for submission, and supplementary information.


Contact Information

Corresponding author must contact information including telephone numbers, corresponding address and E-mail address preferably institutional E-mail address.

Online Submission

Authors should submit their manuscripts online using web portal upload manuscript files following the instructions given on the screen.

Research Manuscripts

Major sections of the research manuscript contain one paragraph (200-300 words) Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Acknowledgments, Conflict Statement, Author’s Contribution and Literature Cited.

 Subheadings may be used, but avoid excessive fragmentation of the text. Footnotes not permitted.

Review Literature

After a brief one paragraph (200-300 words) Abstract, authors may use headings of their choice and are not confined to the section heads used in Research Manuscripts.

Figure Guidelines

Figures must be with the high quality and resolution, it is important to submit digital art that conforms to the appropriate resolution, size, and file format.

  • All figures are provided in the main document at the end of the literature cited with captions.
  • All figures are numbered according to its sequence in the text.
  • Captions should comprehensive.
  • Scale bars should be inserted to indicate magnification.
  • Photographic images should be clear and of high quality, cropped at right angles.
  • Format of the figure file must be .tif, .jpg, or .png. All images must be flattened, layered images are not accepted. Preferably images must be submitted in color.

Graphs and Line Drawings

  • Graphs should be directly exported from excel or other softwares used.
  • Color graphs can be used but preferably use solid black or white or hatch or stripe patterns in bar graphs.
  • Editable graphs should be exported from the source files.
  • Only standard symbols can be used in captions (such as boxes, circles, triangles).

Tables

Tables are used to present precise numerical data that show comparisons or interrelationships. Do not repeat data in the text that are given in a table or figure.

  • Numbers should be rounded to significant digits.
  • Footnotes are designated with superscript lowercase letters. Use “a, b,” etc. if mean separation letters do not appear in the data fields; otherwise use letters from the end of the alphabet, ending with “z” for the last footnote.
  • Tables must be submitted in text format; tables submitted as images are not acceptable.
  • Preferably tables should be created in portrait orientation.

Literature Cited and References

Citing in the main text

  • Use the author-year method of citing publications. For example, “Nanocarriers as drug delivery systems (Ullah et al., 2019; Said, 1999; Ullah and Said, 2019; Ulah et al., 2019, 2020a, b; Said, 2023) were used for the treatment of selected tumors.”
  • List citations in alphabetical order.
  • When citing multiple works by the same author, list articles by one author before those by multiple authors

References

The references should be written in “Harvard Style” and should be preferred if submitted using Endnote.

  • List all references in alphabetical order by authors’ surnames.
  • Single-author works should be listed before works with multiple authors.
  • Works by the same author(s) should be ordered chronologically.
  • Italicize Latin binomials, capitalize German nouns, and insert diacritical marks.
  • Only references generally available through libraries, online open-access journals and pre-print archives should be listed in Literature Cited/References.
  • Endnote library should be provided.
